The High Sierras. In pictures.

This was already a month ago, but I wanted to post some pictures of our trip out west to the High Sierras. We flew into Vegas, through Death Valley (sea level) and drove to Lone Pine, CA where we then drove up to 10,000 ft to hit the trail. We were out for four days and loved every bit of it. We didn't see any bears, but we did deal with some nasty chipmunks.
Nice & clean still.

Chicken Springs Lake

Our hammock at Upper Soldier Lake....the hike here was awful but worth it AND we saw the Big Horn sheep that rarely come down this far south in these mountains.

Pumping water in the early a.m.
Camp.

HUGE boulders in the middle of a meadow.

Where Phil's finger is pointing is where we started hiking to get to the other lake. About a mile straight uphill.

Going over New Army.

View out of the valley.
We camped at the 3rd lake down.

Funny to see in Death Valley!

Nice & dirty now!

Done!

Hiking in a slot canyon in Utah. Super cool!

And then, we were done! Don't know what's next but we are excited to dream it up.....
